How to use and manage presets with the preset manager

The preset manager allows you to manage factory pre-installed presets and user-created presets. Both preset libraries are stored in single files. However, it is possible to save an individual preset as a separate file and exchange it with other plug-in formats, computers, or users using the export and import functions.

The factory library presets provided with this plug-in are a fixed, non-modifiable file. These presets are saved in files with the '.factorypresets' extension and follow a predetermined naming structure: "[NUB]_[PLUGINNAME]_[PLUGINFORMAT].[EXTENSION]".

Factory library file name example for Latte EQ Acqua Effect plug-in:

• Factory library presets VST3 format: NUB_LATTEEQ_vst3.factorypresets.
• Factory library presets AAX format: NUB_LATTEEQ_aax.factorypresets.
• Factory library presets AU format: NUB_LATTEEQ x64_au.factorypresets.

The user library presets are user-created presets that can be editable and compatible across all plug-in formats. These presets are saved in files with the '.presets' extension and follow a predetermined naming structure: "[NUB]_[PLUGINNAME]_[PLUGINFORMAT].[EXTENSION]".

User library file name example for Latte EQ Acqua Effect plug-in:

• User library presets all formats NUB_LATTEEQ_vst3.presets.

User library path example for Latte EQ Acqua Effect plug-in:

• Path macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Acustica/ (or /Users/[YOURUSER]/Library/Application Support/Acustica/)
• Path Windows: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Acustica\ (or C:\Users\[YOURUSER]\AppData\Roaming\Acustica\)

The Nebula Universal Browser (NUB) or the preset manager settings are saved in the same path as the user presets.

The file structure for the Nebula Universal Browser (NUB) setting is "[NUB]_[PLUGINNAME]_[PLUGINFORMAT].[EXTENSION]".

The preset(s) save and load preset functionality of the preset manager (first generation) is still available through the preset export and import functions.

To export a preset:

1. Open the Nebula Universal Browser (NUB).
2. Go to the user library.
3. Select the preset you want to export.
4. Select the file path where it will be saved.

To import a preset:

1. Open the Nebula Universal Browser (NUB).
2. Click on import.
3. Select the preset you want to import.
