What product version and release means?

Product version

The product's version represents the product's general version, in the form of the software development project, starts and ends, for example, Ivory version 1, Ivory version 2, Ivory version 3, Ivory version 4, etc.

When a product is upgraded, the previous versions become legacy, and the previous ones unavailable in the Aquarius Desktop application become obsolete. Legacy and obsolete versions do not receive any kind of correction, maintenance, or technical support.

Usually, when a new version is available, new features are added to the product; for example, a new equalizer module is added or supports a new computer architecture.

Product release

The release represents the product maintenance release, release A001, release A002, release B001, release C003, etc. For example, TAN (version 1) currently has releases from A000 to J007, each adding user-reported corrections and maintenance fixes.
