How to trial N4

To try N4 before buying it, you can install the N4 Player, the free version of N4, always using the Aquarius Desktop application. In Q1 2022, N4 and N4 Player were upgraded to version 4.5, and the trial libraries Pack #1 and Pack #3 were also upgraded; please avoid installing the obsolete version 4.0. 


TIP: Some N4 features are not available on the N4 Player. However, it is a completely free product.


To install N4 Player in macOS and Windows:

  1. Close your host (DAW or NLE).
  2. Run the Aquarius Desktop application.
  3. Verify that you are using the latest Aquarius Desktop application version.
  4. Go search page.
  5. Search for "N4 Player".
  6. Click on the install button.
  7. Aquarius Desktop application will go to the product page.
  8. Choose the plug-in format to install and click on the install button.

If you are interested in testing the library included with N4, you should additionally install the CPCL (Cross-Platform Commercial Library) Pack 1 trial and Pack 3 trial; both packs will work for 4 weeks without limitations.


To install the N4 Pack 1 trial and the N4 Pack:

  1. Close your host (DAW or NLE).
  2. Run the Aquarius Desktop Application.
  3. Verify that you are using the latest Aquarius Desktop Application version.
  4. Go search page.
  5. Search for the library or product to install, for example, "Pack1", "Pack3", or "Pack1 Pack3".
  6. Click on the More button in the library you want to install.
  7. Aquarius Desktop Application will go to the product page.
  8. Click on the install button.
  9. Repeat these steps until you have both trial packs installed.

If you additionally are interested in an N4 library from our official 3rd party developers, you can also try them on the N4 Player by using the trial version of each library, always available on the Aquarius Desktop application, like other trial products, trial libraries for N4 will work for 4 weeks.
