Introduction |
Acustica Audio products can be authorized using the Aquarius Desktop application and the Aquarius Web Services.
The Aquarius Desktop application is a free standalone application that will manage the downloading, installation, and authorization of your product in a semi-automatic way with minimal user intervention. To learn more about the Aquarius Desktop application, read the online guide.
The Aquarius Web Services is a free web service that will manage the transfers and authorization slots of your product in a semi-automatic way with minimal user intervention.
The anti-copy protection |
The Acustica Audio anti-copy protection included in all products is based on a simple challenge & response system automated via the Aquarius Desktop application that requires the use of a reliable internet connection on the computer where you want to install and authorize the products. The Aquarius Web can be helpful to authorize computers without an internet connection, but it will be mandatory to use an additional computer to upload and download the authorization files with a reliable internet connection.
Commercial products manual authorization using the Aquarius Web Services |
- Log-in on the Aquarius web using your user-name email and your password.
- Click on the purchased page, and scroll down until you find the product you want to authorize.
- Click on the settings icon.
- Click on the plus icon.
- Upload the computer identification file with the file extension .SER into the pop-up window.
- Download the new authorization file with the file extension .AUT from the pop-up window.
- Move the new authorization file to the same folder as your computer identification file.
NOTES:
- The Aquarius Desktop Applicationtion is still the recommended authorization method.
- You must run the products as super admin in your audio host (DAW or NLE) to get a valid computer identification file with the file extension .SER.
- You must have a reliable internet connection for computer identification file upload and authorization file download.
Legacy products manual authorization using the Aquarius Web Services |
- Log-in on the Aquarius Web using your user-name email and your password.
- Click on the purchased page.
- Click on the three points icon.
- Click on authorize legacy products.
- Upload the computer identification file with the file extension .SER into the pop-up window.
- Download the new authorization file with the file extension .AUT from the pop-up window.
- Move the new authorization file to the same folder as your computer identification file.

- You must run the products as super admin in your audio host (DAW or NLE) to get a valid computer identification file with the file extension .SER.
- You must have a reliable internet connection for computer identification file upload and authorization file download.
