How to use factory presets on El Rey version 2

Modified on Mon, 21 Sep at 4:31 PM

In several Acqua Effect products, a new plug-in version may display an empty preset in the preset toolbar or preset manager even though presets were available in a previous version. This can occur when the existing presets were created for the older preset system and were not migrated to the new preset manager introduced with the updated plug-in.  The addition of the new preset toolbar or preset manager does not automatically transfer or convert presets from previous versions.

As a result, the absence of presets in the preset toolbar or preset manager does not necessarily mean that the product never included presets; they may simply not have been ported to the new system. Preset migration is possible, but it should be done manually by loading the preset using the old system and saving the preset in the new format using the preset toolbar or preset manager.

The images below show the first release of El Rey version 2, which did not include the preset bar or the preset manager, and the most recent release of El Rey version 2, which includes the preset manager for free, so it is possible to manually migrate presets from the old preset system to the new one.
